Hey, remember this song? This was the first song I ever put up on Music About Nothing. In fact, I put it on my personal blog, and then I put it on the original Music About Nothing Blog, and then I moved it over here. And now, I’ve re-recorded it. It’s basically the same, but better, because it’s recorded with better equipment, and I’m in better practice playing the guitar so the guitar parts are more solid, and my vocal range a little wider now so I didn’t have to falsetto some of the parts.

Plus, there are many people who haven’t heard this before. I consider this one of my best songs, so if you don’t like it, I guess you don’t like…a song that I consider to be one of my best songs. I don’t really know where I was going with that.

Also, check out a live, shortened, acoustic version here.

Well…here we are at the end. It’s weird. I’ve been working on this since February. It’s kind of sad that it’s over now. I guess now I have to go back to the normal routine of writing music about nothing.

Anyways, here’s the song. I hope you liked Undying Love. I’ve toyed with about a trillion ideas of things to do with this music. Among them, I thought I could perhaps make music videos, make webisodes, write a book, get someone to make a graphic novel, write a play, do an Undying Love rock show, or make a video game. I could probably only do one of these. What do you think?

Not much really happens in this song. It’s mostly just an emotional conclusion. Here’s the final write-up:

What can you say about two twenty-something-year-old people who died, then turned into zombies, then nearly destroyed mankind, but then didn’t, and then died?

Chad wasn’t quite sure what to think of his new predicament. He’d never really thought of what to call it when a zombie died. Is that really death? Can you die when you were already dead? He didn’t know. And strangely, he didn’t care enough to figure it out.

All along, Chad had hoped he could bring Sarah back to life. Dr. Z had told him it was possible. But it hadn’t panned out. And now, they were both…whatever they were. But that word made Chad happy: “both.” They had both moved on. And Chad knew he would find Sarah again. They wouldn’t have to be alone this time.

He sure had complained a lot when he lost Sarah last time. But he had found her. And now he would find her again. Because even though he had lost almost everything, Chad realized there was one thing that life, death, and zombie death could not take away: his love for Sarah. Because it wasn’t just love. It was never-ending love. It was everlasting love. In fact, hey, it’s the title of the album and the song… it was Undying Love.
